Henry Moore (1898 – 1986)

Henry Moore was an English sculptor best known for his large semi-abstract bronze figures. Exhibited around the world as public artworks. During the 1950’s he often sculpted family groups. However more generally his work was focussed on the female form using bronze and marble. Henry Moore introduced a particular form of modernism to the United Kingdom. Subsequently establishing the Henry Moore Foundation which supports education and the promotion of the arts.
