DAVID BARROW

David Barrow was born in 1959 in Parbold and spent his formative years there.  Then moving to Wigan, he began painting seriously when he was 19.
Proud of his hometown he has vividly captured it in a number of well regarded oil paintings. Showing the heritage of both Parbold and Wigan.
David’s paintings have been featured four times in the summer exhibition at London’s prestigious Royal Academy. However he has also exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy of Fine Art and Manchester Academy of Fine Art. One of David’s portrait paintings was also exhibited at the Royal Society of portrait Painters.

NORTHERN SOUL

David Barrows portfolio of work and vision of Northern Soul culture has won him world wide acclaim. Likened to Dickins with London times and like Lowry’s mill scenes, he has created a unique atmospheric vibe of then and now, which is stamped on our hearts. Proclaimed by the Observer as the Degas of Northern Soul, they are sure the best is yet to come.
